Ha. I know what you mean. Although, it's not just "English" since the same attitude exists up here in sunny ol Scotland! ;)

Most people in our country, just like the Warcraft gamer, place great value upon the concept of "grinding".

Why farm for hours when you can perhaps just trade for that +5 flaming sword? Dungeon boss giving you trouble? A bit of kiting will solve that.

Many will call that "glitching". Fools. I call that being smart. :D

I like your kind of thinking Glenn!

A classic example of how we're almost bred to conform the the "system" is when I was at school. I remember a time in a test we were told to underline the answers to the question. I got all the answers right. However, I still got marked down. Why? Because I circled instead of underlining as they told me to. Even at the age of 8 I can remember having a WTF moment.

Alot of older people will say that the young generation have too much of an "entitlement mentality". i.e: They expect society to give them things without much work etc and blame TV for this. While, that may be true to a certain extent, I also think it's down to what we're told by our parents and teachers: Go to school > get good grades > Go to university > Graduate > Land a job.

And as mentioned in the video, what may have been true 30 years ago in our parents era is not so true anymore. I graduated in 2007 with 1st class honours thinking that this would get me a high paying job instantly. Didn't happen. Instead, it took me a whole year to find a job - this made me challenge our parents views about the value of this templated approach to life.

BTW, I found your blog after looking for physique transformation competitions. Awesome achivement by the way, considering the commute and the fact you did it in six months!

I'm on my own fat loss journey - It's hard but despite what the statistics say about the vast majority of people, I know with a positive mindset it can be done!
